Understanding Joint Pain

A joint is the part of the body where two or more bones form connections to allow movement. A joint may start to move improperly through stress, trauma, damage or disease. Overtime its structures can no longer withstand a normal level of strain. A breakdown of cartilage between the joints may occur causing muscles that attach to the joints to become tight and painful. Restoring joint mechanics by correcting the biomechanics will allow for reduction of pain and further damage to the joint. We do this by adjusting the joint and strengthening the surrounding muscles.
